Welcome to the GoDirect mobile application (“Application”), provided by GoDirect Technologies Inc., a company registered in Canada (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). GoDirect is an eCommerce platform that enlists a wide variety of consumer packaged goods (“Products” or “Items”) sourced from various registered suppliers (including but not limited to manufacturers, farmers, importers, wholesalers) who are authorized to sell in the geographical region including Canada and United States of America (“Geography or  “Region”) and makes these products available to consumers like yourself (“Customer”, or “User”). This Privacy Policy aims to inform new Customers who are about to sign up to our Application, or existing Customers who have registered or placed one or more orders, about the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when they use our application.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal information when you interact with our platform:

  • Reading SMS: In an endeavor to make signup seamless and hassle free, we request access to read SMS messages sent by us from your mobile phone. Which means Application will only access and read SMS messages once during the signup or login process for the sole purpose of verifying your phone number. Your mobile session will remain authenticated till the time you delete the application, or clear data/cache of the application or we send a security patch, or application upgrade. In all such cases where a session needs to be revalidated, we will use the permission granted by you to reread the SMS sent by us. We understand the sensitivity of this request and want to assure you that we will handle your data with utmost care and transparency. We will not access, read, or store any other personal or sensitive information present in your SMS messages.
  • Personal information:
    • Name: To personalize your experience and address you appropriately while making deliveries and doing customer support.
    • Mobile Number: To communicate with you, provide important updates, and for account verification purposes.
    • Email Address: To send transactional emails, order confirmations, and promotional offers.
    • Home/Work Addresses: To facilitate order delivery and ensure accurate shipping.
    • Other Generic Information: Such as food habits, cuisine preferences, family size or similar generic questions which would help our platform for personalization of products and services tailored to your preferences. Whenever such information is asked, there will always be an option to dismiss/skip the same. Nowhere we mandate a customer to give this information.
  • Camera Permission: We may request access to your device’s camera to enable you to upload photographs while reviewing products and providing feedback.
  • Location Permission: To offer personalized services, we may require access to your device’s location for the following purposes:
    • Delivering products to your doorstep.
    • Displaying products available for sale in your vicinity.
    • Allowing you to place an order from a different location.
  • Storage Permission: We may request access to store data on your device when you upload profile photos or other relevant content.
  • Payment Information: For seamless payment processing, our application uses a third-party payment gateway integrated with Stripe Inc and do not store any card related information on our application. When a payment transaction needs to be executed, we will transfer a Customer to the secure payment page provided by Stripe.
